Catch up?

Not sure that I ever will- so here is a little post in the meantime. I decided I better post and not just update the background of my blog! I have been such a slacker at posting and mostly because I don't even know where to start! I am already like 5 months behind (well even more than that) and the thought of catching up seems somewhat overwhelming. So who knows if I ever will- the summer, fall and holidays may be just memories in pictures but at least I can start back up now and try to be better at keeping up.

There has been SO much going on I better start with the most exciting of news (for those that haven't heard yet) We are expecting- and it's a BOY!! (this is where I should insert those cute but indistinguishable ultra sound photos, but to scan them and insert them- would mean this post may never happen! so trust me- it's a boy!) We are super excited about having a little boy. Both Russell and I wanted a boy for our first child and considering the long line of boys on his side of the family- it's not much of a surprise. I just pray at least one little girl finds her way into our family at some point! The planning, and of course shopping, have already begun and it's so much fun (and a tad overwhelming). I now can join those mothers of boys out there in saying that there is not half the cute stuff for boys as there is for girls. It's crazy! But I have decided that in the end- it will save us lots of money!

We have started putting the baby's room together and have purchased a crib and changing table but only have the changing table put up so far- and I love it! I'm hoping the crib matches okay - who knew whites were so different?!

So with that I will end my post with hopes of being much better at keeping this thing updated. We still have months (ahh! really?) to go until the little one arrives so I'm sure there will be more fun things to write about :)
