Sew Happy!

This makes me SO happy- a sleeping child! Not to mention it was much cuter than the picture that follows.

I bought a sewing machine! Yipee!! I have been wanting one for about a year and finally went out and got one. After taking sewing for 3 years in middle school and high school- I've kind of missed it! But make no mistake- just because I took sewing for 3 years does NOT mean that I know what I'm doing :)

I hope to able to make some cute blankets and burp rags for Kole and then maybe graduate to something more fabulous- like drapes! (yes- that is ambitious!) Mrs. Stokes and Ms. Bartlet would be so proud! In the meantime- if anyone needs a stuffed dog, a makeup bag or a windsock whipped up for them- give me a call!

Cereal Time!

As soon as the doctor said we could start cereal- we did! I was so excited and anxious to see how Kole liked it. I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story!

Yeah he was NOT a fan at all of it! It took a little bit for him to like it. We ended up having to mix applesauce with it to help him eat it. He does not like plain rice cereal!

The part he did like- the spoon :)

November Happenings

I can't believe this little guy is 4 months old! We had his 4-month appointment on November 4th- here are his stats:

Weight: 14 pounds 5 ounces (40th percentile)

Length: 25.7 inches (75th percentile)

Head: 42.8 cm (50th percentile)

Height to Weight Ratio: 5th percentile

As you can see he is still long and skinny- with adorable chubby cheeks! We did have to get 4 vaccines but I forgot to take pictures. He did okay- but he always has a fever for at least a day after. He got a clean bill of health and most importantly- we got the go ahead to start rice cereal! Yipee! (post on that to follow)

The next week Kole and I joined my mom and sisters for a little crafting. We decided to plan ahead a little and start our Christmas projects before the hustle and bustle of December set in. I had Veterans' Day off so we gathered at Jill for some mass painting- and playing.

*Mom, Jill and Missy crafting (and eating!)*

*Livvy and Carter doing some painting of their own*

And while we were there and I had a cosmetologist at my disposal- I had her give Kole a little trim! His hair grows SO fast and it's near impossible to cut it- which is why we did it while he was sleeping. Thanks Missy!

November was filled with more family and fun- more posts to follow!
