Catch up time!
I know it's been over a year since I've posted- but I think it's time I start to play catch up! So even though my posts will have a date with 2012 this is stuff from the end of 2010 and 2011. I'll do my best to fill you in on what we've been up to - and basically how cute and grown up Kole is. Enjoy :)

Sew Happy!
This makes me SO happy- a sleeping child! Not to mention it was much cuter than the picture that follows.
I bought a sewing machine! Yipee!! I have been wanting one for about a year and finally went out and got one. After taking sewing for 3 years in middle school and high school- I've kind of missed it! But make no mistake- just because I took sewing for 3 years does NOT mean that I know what I'm doing :)
I hope to able to make some cute blankets and burp rags for Kole and then maybe graduate to something more fabulous- like drapes! (yes- that is ambitious!) Mrs. Stokes and Ms. Bartlet would be so proud! In the meantime- if anyone needs a stuffed dog, a makeup bag or a windsock whipped up for them- give me a call!

November Happenings

I can't believe this little guy is 4 months old! We had his 4-month appointment on November 4th- here are his stats:
Weight: 14 pounds 5 ounces (40th percentile)
Length: 25.7 inches (75th percentile)
Head: 42.8 cm (50th percentile)
Height to Weight Ratio: 5th percentile
As you can see he is still long and skinny- with adorable chubby cheeks! We did have to get 4 vaccines but I forgot to take pictures. He did okay- but he always has a fever for at least a day after. He got a clean bill of health and most importantly- we got the go ahead to start rice cereal! Yipee! (post on that to follow)
The next week Kole and I joined my mom and sisters for a little crafting. We decided to plan ahead a little and start our Christmas projects before the hustle and bustle of December set in. I had Veterans' Day off so we gathered at Jill for some mass painting- and playing.

*Mom, Jill and Missy crafting (and eating!)*

*Livvy and Carter doing some painting of their own*
And while we were there and I had a cosmetologist at my disposal- I had her give Kole a little trim! His hair grows SO fast and it's near impossible to cut it- which is why we did it while he was sleeping. Thanks Missy!

November was filled with more family and fun- more posts to follow!

Goodbye My Love!
On the Saturday before Halloween we had to say goodbye to this cute thing:
Oh- and her parents! (they were too busy packing up to get a pic)
Carlye, Jacob and Claire are headed off to sunny St. George! We are excited for them but are going to miss them SOO much! I was able to spend a few nights helping Carlye get packed up (and she didn't want to be alone at the house). It was fun- we even shared a full size bed- just like old times!
Here are some pics of the packing/cleaning crew:
*Jerome, Jill and Kole- packing up makes you hungry!*

We met up the Saturday before Halloween to have a little party with all the family at my parents house. It was so fun to see all the kids dressed up! (Oh and Josh! lol)
Josh's costume was great! It scared some of the kids but Claire and Kole didn't seem to mind. Kole was a little police officer. When I saw this costume I knew I had to get it and Russell loved it! Only problem- when it came time to wear it 2 months after buying it- it was a little small! Yes, yes, they were shants!
Kole with Grandpa and Grandma- (Apparently Kole was a little tired)
*Our little fam*
*Kole and Claire chillin on the floor. They started out side by side and somehow Kole managed to get himself turned around!* We didn't do any trick-or-treating this year because it was freezing (and raining) and because Kole would have no clue what was going on! We instead stayed inside and enjoyed some yummy homemade soup and bread and some great company. Happy Halloween!
Pumpkin Patch
The Pumpkin Patch is a MUST when you have child- even if they aren't old enough to appreciate it! Kole and I headed out the pumpkin patch in Herriman with these guys:
